Blumyst is owned by Denise Fraser. My dogs are first and foremost family pets but I also enjoy completing in obedience and conformation with them.

I first came across Australian Shepherds in 2003 when I began to do some obedience training with my Labrador, Lucy. A lady from Penrith Kennel and Obedience club, Lois, offered to work with me. She had a wonderful Aussie named Angel who was about the same age as my lab. Well I fell in love with the breed. Angel was so smart and eager to learn and so gentle and friendly. After meeting and working with Angel for a while I decided to investigate the breed as I started to think about a companion for Lucy.

In 2005 I purchased my first Australian Shepherd, Wlkabout Care to Tango. I entered Tango in a number of conformation shows where he did quite well as a young dog. He achieved a number of baby puppy and puppy in breed awards. He is currently working toward his Neuter Champion title. My real interest however was in Obedience and Tango has attained his Companion Dog title. Tango is currently competing in Rally Obedience and to date has attained his Advanced Title. He enjoys working so we are now beginning work on his Rally Excellent title.

In 2011 I bought my second aussie, Roadsend Who’s That Girl ( Misty). Misty is the foundation bitch of Blumyst Australian Shepherds. She has a wonderful temperament and is beginning to do well in obedience.

I have been a member of Penrith Kennel and Training Club since 2003 and have been an Obedience Instructor since 2006. I am also a member of Blacktown Kennel and training Club and have been an Obedience Instructor there since 2009.

I am a member of Dogs NSW and also a member of the Australian Shepherd Association of NSW. I was a committee member for the Australian Shepherd Association for about 3 years, but work commitments meant that I had to withdraw from that role.

I live in Western Sydney not far from the beautiful Blue Mountains. I love to get out and about with my dogs in the nearby parks. My granddaughter Taylor is helping me with Blumyst as she has developed an interest in both obedience and conformation work and really enjoys being with the dogs.
